I will be using Photoshop CS2 for this tutorial.
1. Go to layers > new adjustment layer > curves, click anywhere on the grid and fill this in: Input: 66 Output: 77 Now click anywhere on the grid again and fill this in: Input: 175 Output: 192 2. Go to layers > new adjustment layer > hue/saturation and set saturation to -100. 3. Go to layers > new adjustment layers > curves again and click anywhere on the grid. Fill this in: Input: 48 Output: 35 Now click anywhere on the grid again, and fill this in: Input: 176 Output: 189 4. Go to layers > new adjustment layer > brightness/contrast and fill this in: Brightness: -15 Contrast: -20 5. Go to layers > new adjustment layer > brightness/contrast again and set contrast to +10. 6. Go to layers > new adjustment layer > selective colour and fill this in: Blacks: -3, 0, -10, +15 Now merge your layers and you're done! Picture: The Strokes All credits go to the photographer. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
